Gallery: Fear The Walking Dead’s Most Brutal Zombie Kill

Fear the Walking Dead‘s Season 2 finale packed some of the most intense moments the series has offered in its over twenty episodes to date.

Not only was there shocking human deaths for the first time in a while on the series, but Walker Kill of the Week is being handed out to Nick. The former drug addict and now leader of La Colonia spring into action in Alejandro’s infirmary when a patient-turned-zombie starting biting everyone in sight.

With no weapons on hand, Nick uses his hands… To gouge out the infected’s eyes and reach his thumbs deep enough through its skull to damage the brain. The moment was one of the most cringeworthy of any walker kills in either Walking Dead series.

Of course, the runner up for this week’s trophy is Ofelia. The character has become a certified bad-ass and her evolution was on display in the first hour of Fear‘s finale. Not only did Ofelia take on four of the infected but she did so in epic style – slamming the hood of her pick-up truck on one walker’s arm and pinning it in place while dispatching the others with her hammer.

Both kills rival some of The Walking Dead‘s most epic kills. Ofelia’s hood-pin is reminiscent of Daryl Dixon’s trunk smash, while Nick’s eye gouging strikes up a memory of Rick Grimes ripping out the esophagus of a walker that had gotten through the walls of Alexandria late in the show’s fifth season.
