He's been the People's Champion, but could he be headed to a future as the People's President?

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has a cover feature in the British edition of GQ this month, and the actor whose personality was somehow too large for the stage of the WWE said he feels like he can see himself running for office someday. While he's not leaving TV and film (or the ring - The Rock has a standing "legacy" contract with the WWE that basically means he can pop in if/when he has the opportunity, or for major events like Wrestlemania) anytime soon, it's a thought he's at least considered.

"I'll be honest, I haven't ruled politics out," Johnson said. "I'm not being coy when I say that, but at the moment I am not sure. I can't deny that the thought of being governor, the thought of being president, is alluring. And beyond that, it would be an opportunity to make a real impact on people's lives on a global scale. But there are a lot of other things I want to do first."

In the preview of the article alone, Johnson talked more than once about that "global scale," saying it's also how he chooses roles.

"My choices are based on two things and they are both equally important. The first is: will I enjoy it? Then second: will people enjoy it on a mass scale? And I like that, because it is an opportunity for me to entertain globally," he said. He wants to entertain "people all over the world" and make "more people happy" - not to mention make more money for himself and studios (hey, the guy's honest, that's a step up on his potential political competition).

Maybe that patriotic instagram photo was more prophetic than we thought. Can't you just hear him during the State of the Union? "Finally, The Rock has come back to the floor of Congress!"
