To promote the upcoming release of Captain America: Civil War on Digital HD, Blu-ray, and DVD, Marvel Entertainment was released (via io9) a deleted scene featuring Daniel Brühl and co-director Joe Russo.

In the film, after the thrilling chase scene with Bucky, Black Panther, Captain America, and Falcon, Dr. Theo Broussard, who is actually Zemo (Brühl), is brought in to interrogate Bucky. It's later shown that Dr. Brossard, who is played by Russo, was murdered by Zemo off-screen.

In this deleted scene, taking place at a train station, Zemo has his cellphone up to ear, listening to the last voicemail his wife sent him before she and her son, who was about to celebrate a birthday, died in the Battle of Sokovia, which took place in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Using the voicemail to motivate his vengeance, Zemo is then seen approaching Broussard, helping him with his bags.

Marvel's Captain America: Civil War finds Steve Rogers leading the newly-formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity, but after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark's surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.

The film stars Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Emily VanCamp, Don Cheadle, Jeremy Renner, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd and Frank Grillo, William Hurt and Daniel Brühl. Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and produced by Kevin Feige. Louis D'Esposito, Alan Fine, Victoria Alonso, Patricia Whitcher, Nate Moore and Stan Lee served as executive producers. The screenplay was written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.

Marvel's Captain America: Civil War will available on Digital HD September 2 and on 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray, DVD, Digital SD and VOD September 13!
