Disney's Tower Of Terror Morphing Into Guardians Of The Galaxy Ride

A sad time is upon us, Disneyland fans. The Tower of Terror ride will officially be shutting down operations come beginning of 2017. But don't fret, a Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout! ride will be taking its place.

Disneyland is wasting no time at the start of the year, as the ride will be shutting down on January 2nd. The Tower of Terror ride will offer final promotions, kicking off with one called Late Check-Out which starts September 9th and ends on Halloween day. The promotion lets riders experience everything in complete darkness. There will also be merchandise concessions and musical performances.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout! will ramp things up next summer, but will feature a different storyline than the Marvel film. All of our favorite characters will be held hostage and a breakout is led by Rocket Raccoon.

The replacement ride sounds like much fun, but it is sad that Disney is shutting down yet another classic ride.
