Disney XD will be bringing back one rich duck to its line-up next year. The network announced plans to revive Scrooge McDuck in a brand new DuckTales series, and now, the project has just received a shiny logo to match its golden reputation.

In an exclusive reveal, Oh My Disney shared the new logo. The image's iconic look is a definite throwback to the original DuckTales animated series from the 1980s. The blocky font looks almost identical to its predecessor's logo except for its color scheme. The all-new logo forgoes the old scheme for an appropriately dotted-gold aesthetic.

Surely, the familiar logo signals that the upcoming DuckTales series will follow in the waddled footsteps of the original series. Fans can expect to see hijinks, mystery, and all sorts of fun when the show hits Disney XD next year.

If you're not familiar with Ducktales, then you should first know the franchise began as a fan-favorite comic book under Carl Brooks. The acclaimed creator launched the 'Duck Universe' comics which were then turned into a long-running animated television series in September 1987. The show followed Uncle Scrooge McDuck and his rascally grandnephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie. Each episode often saw the four characters undertake a mission to protect Scrooge's vast fortune from wacky villains alongside Donald Duck.

When DuckTales returns, they should also expect to see some familiar side-characters. Figures like Duckworth, Gyro Gearloose, Launchpad McQuack, Flintheart Glomgold, Magica DeSpell, and more will star in the revival.

Unsurprisingly, Disney XD is excited to bring back the beloved franchise. Marc Buhaj, Programming and General Manager at Disney XD, said that, "DuckTales has a special place in Disney's TV animation history, it drew its inspiration from Disney Legend Carl Barks' comic books and through its storytelling and artistic showmanship, set an enduring standard for animated entertainment that connects with both kids and adults. Our new series will bring that same energy and adventurous spirit to a new generation."

Earlier this year, Disney even teased fans with the show's new spirit when they unveiled art from DuckTales ahead of San Diego Comic Con. The cartoonish artwork was done in the silhouette of Scrooge, and fans could see the grumpy geezer's grandnephews along with Donald Duck inside the profile photo. The creators of the poster are part of the show's art production team, so if you like the art style, then you can expect to see plenty more of it.

The new DuckTales will be Executive Produced by Matt Youngberg (Ben 10: Omniverse), Co-Produced by Francisco Angones (Wander Over Yonder) and Art Directed by Sean Jimenez (Gravity Falls).

DuckTales will premiere on Disney XD sometime in 2017.
