It won't be long until production gets fully underway on Avengers: Infinity War. The much-anticipated film will be filming down in Georgia, and the Russo Brothers have already teased fans with a few rehearsal stills from set. However, much of the film remains a mystery to fans as Marvel Studios is being understandably quiet about the project's secrets. But it looks like some plot details of Infinity War might have slipped.

According to LMR, sources have told the site several alleged plot points of Infinity War, so be warned! Spoilers may lie ahead!

The sources indicate that Infinity War will begin with the story arc seen in the famous "Infinity Gauntlet" comic book crossover series from 1990. Whether the film will feature any part of the subsequent "Infinity War" comics isn't known, and fans have longed debated on whether one feature film could house both of the epic series.

If you are unfamiliar with the two comics, then let's break them down. Published in 1990, "Infinity Gauntlet" depicts the events which occur after Thanos - the big purple alien from the MCU - finally obtains all the powerful Infinity Gems for the fabled Infinity Gauntlet. Then, two years later, "Infinity War" came out with its own six-issue series that shows Adam Warlock taking control over the artifact and facing down an old foe named Magnus.

And, if you don't recognize those last two names, then don't worry. The MCU still has not introduced either Adam Warlock or Magnus to its ever-growing universe.

As for the actual plot of Infinity Gauntlet, sources have told LMR the film will stick close to its source content. The upcoming flick will feature Thanos as he tries to win over the female personification of Death. To appease her, Thanos collects the Infinity Stones and plans to use his all-powerful gauntlet to wipe out half of all life in the universe to gift Death with more souls.

Of course, this would then mean that Death will appear in Infinity War. Fans have speculated about this for awhile now with some even wondering whether Cate Blanchett's Hela (Thor: Ragnarok) could stand in for the undead mistress - but that is all up for speculation. As far as LMR knows, their sources can only 'confirm' that Death will appear as a female.

With an intergalactic threat on-hand, Infinity War will assemble the MCU's mightiest heroes to take on Thanos. The Avengers will star in the blockbuster alongside the Guardians of the Galaxy. Nick Fury will also return for Infinity War, and rumors persist that Captain Marvel may make her on-screen debut in the flick.

With Spider-Man: Homecoming wrapping up production, Infinity War is the next big project that Marvel Studios has on docket. It will head into production in November.

Avengers: Infinity War is set to release on May 4, 2018. An untitled sequel is then set to hit theaters the following year on May 3, 2019.
