American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy has grand plans for the popular series, but he isn't ready to share them with anyone just yet.

In a recent interview with EW, Murphy revealed that he is secretly scripting an unknown season of the show with one other writer from the team.

"It's my secret season," he says. "I've been working with a writer on a season that only he and I know. It's like a two-year project that we'll continue to work on the sly and not tell anybody."

The project doesn't have a projected timeframe, and currently, the show isn't renewed past the current season 6. Still, the freedom of having no boundaries allows them to get extremely creative with it, and it might get released out of nowhere depending on the timing of completion.

"I don't know when it will [air] but it's also an experiment," he says of the secret season. "It's a different way of doing it. It's one person writing all episodes. I don't know if it's going to work but it's like, well, let's try that. We might get them done and shoot them on the sly and drop it." It certainly worked for Beyoncé.

The latest season, My Roanoke Nightmare, debuted to 10.9 million viewers, putting it among the highest premieres in the network's history.

American Horror Story: Roanoke airs Wednesdays on FX.
