Director Martin Scorsese's latest opus, Silence, hasn't even hit theaters yet but the legendary filmmaker has already announced what his next project is. Scorsese will team up with Leonardo DiCaprio once again to bring to life one of the most notorious serial killers of all time with The Devil in the White City.

Based on Erik Larson's 2003 best-selling novel of the same name, the story details the horrible crimes committed by Dr. H.H. Holmes. The novel itself "intertwines the true tale of the 1893 World's Fair and the cunning serial killer who used the fair to lure his victims to their death."

With the filmmaker working on so many projects, he's had his hands full, but it sounds like he's making this horrific tale his top priority. "One of the things that I had to stop for the past six months was my meetings on that script," the director remarked when speaking to the Toronto Sun. "They want me to start again in January and see if we can find a way because it's an extraordinary story."

This will mark the fifth collaboration between Scorsese and DiCaprio, following films like The Departed, Gangs of New York, The Aviator, and The Wolf of Wall Street. If any of those films sound familiar, it's because they made appearances on most lists of the best films of the year, if not also snagging some awards nomination. In other words, don't be surprised to see this adaptation being the talk of the town on the awards circuit when it eventually comes out.
