Despite earning the titles Justice League: Part One and Justice League: Part Two upon announcement, the first super hero ensemble flick in the DC Films universe will stand on its own two legs and tell a complete story.

Talking to press on the set of Justice League in London, director Zack Snyder (Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) opened up a bit about the future of the franchise.

"It is a complete movie," Snyder said.

When asked if there would be a cliffhanger at the end of the film, Snyder was hesitant in his word choice as he didn't want to spoil anything, but he did tease, "The movie doesn't end and you're like, 'Okay, well that's the DC Universe.'"

As for the fate of the next Justice League film, Snyder wasn't sharing details on it other than, "I think we still have a release date."

There may be a bit of a shake up going on internally at Warner Brothers with their DC Films properties following the poor reactions to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Justice League certainly looks to be reviving the franchise, though, as it appears from our set visit to be injected with energetic fun. Executive producer Deborah Snyder told us the film is about teamwork and hope, so as we see the team come together in November of 2017, we will likely see them take on an even more formidable foe in the Justice League sequel currently slated for 2018.

In Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes — Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash — it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League hits theaters on November 17, 2017.
