As the sequel to surprise hit Ant-Man gets underway, word of the production’s working title has since come to light.
Ant-Man and the Wasp, in which Evangeline Lilly’s character shares the bill as she makes her superhero debut, will begin work in Atlanta later this month. And the trade Production Weekly has shed some light on the film’s status as it gears up.
The film will be going under the title Cherry Blue, according to the magazine which goes on sale later this week. The preview also details other films beginning to enter production, including Captain Marvel.
Whether we’ll get an early synopsis or returning cast members is still too early to tell.
But we should begin hearing word of other actors joining the production as the months continue.
Outside of the titular roles played by Lilly and Paul Rudd, we already know Michael Douglas will return but that’s to be expected. We should expect Michael Peña back, as he was one of the breakout stars from the first film.
Ant-Man and the Wasp is set to release in theaters on July 6, 2018.
