Anticipation is building for the big debut of Captain Marvel in Avengers: Infinity War, especially now that fans know the duo of Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck (of Mississippi Grind fame) will be helming the character's solo outing. The studio has been taking their time finding just the right people to take over the project, and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige is quite happy with their choice.
Feige spoke with Fandango soon after the news dropped, and shared why the duo is the perfect choice for Captain Marvel. "We met with lots and lots of people as we always do, and had multiple meetings, and Anna and Ryan just had an amazing way of talking about Carol Danvers and talking about her journey," Feige said. "We want filmmakers that can help us focus on and elevate the character journey so it doesn't get lost amongst the spectacle. And there's going to be a lot of spectacle in the Captain Marvel film."

The lead role of Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel is being portrayed by actress Brie Larson, who has already started researching the character extensively. Fans have been waiting a long time to see this character hit the big screen, so it's encouraging to know Marvel really took their time in selecting the right team to take this project on. Now the wait shifts towards seeing Larson in costume for the first time, which some members of the press had the chance to do at a recent tour of the Marvel Studios offices. All arrows point to a very comic accurate version of the costume, and that should delight fans across the board.
Next up for Marvel is Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 on May 5, 2017. Spider-Man: Homecoming lands on July 7, 2017, followed by Thor: Ragnarok on November 3, 2017. After that Black Panther debuts on February 16, 2018, while Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on May 4, 2018. Ant-Man and the Wasp
