It looks like Avengers: Infinity War has brought in more firepower for its Scotland shoot. The much-anticipated blockbuster has been busy filming abroad over the last few weeks, and heroes such as Scarlet Witch have been spotted on-set. Other characters like Vision, Captain America, and the Falcon have had parts to play in Edinburgh, but they are not the only Avengers to do so. Not long ago, fans received proof that Mark Ruffalo and Chris Hemsworth have reached Scotland’s shore. So, that only means one thing.
Over on Twitter, a local fan revealed that Ruffalo and Hemsworth are in Scotland. The girl was able to take a selfie with the duo, saying it was the best moment of her life. As far as logistics go, fans are now sure how long Ruffalo and Hemsworth have been abroad for filming. Chris Evans arrived in Edinburgh earlier this week, and Anthony Mackie wrapped his work as the Falcon shortly before Captain America could hit the set.
When it comes to Thor and the Hulk, their presence in Scotland seems to indicate the pair will be back on Earth. The sets which fans have seen in Scotland have been outdoors, marking their likely place on planet Earth rather than some extraterrestrial locale. If the duo are shown back on Earth, it will mark the first time Thor and the Hulk have done so since Avengers: Age of Ultron. The ending of Thor: Ragnarok might give an explanation for how the pair wind up planet-side, so fans will have to wait a few more months until that information becomes available.
Avengers: Infinity War is described by Marvel Studios as the culmination of everything in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since Iron Man in 2008. The movie is filming now under directors Anthony and Joe Russo, from a screenplay by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.
The expansive confirmed cast includes Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Tom Holland, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bethany, Sebastian Stan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Pom Klementieff, and Josh Brolin as the villain Thanos. Avengers: Infinity War and its as-yet-untitled sequel are filming back-to-back for a May 4, 2018 and May 3, 2019 release, respectively.
