New York is the primary setting for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the new film in the world of Harry Potter that takes place nearly a century ago. It will also be the setting of a charity screening of the film, hitting Carnegie Hall on November 12, 2016 at 6pm with a couple of magical guests. J.K. Rowling, the creator of that world (and writer of the screenplay), and Eddie Redmayne, who stars in the film as Newt Scamander, will both be in attendance at the charity screening.

The actor and writer will also host a conversation ahead of the screening, and director David Yates and other cast will provide an introduction for the event (though it's unclear from the press release whether that's live or via recorded footage). The benefit will contribute all proceeds to the Lumos Foundation USA, which seeks to send millions of children in orphanages to homes and family life.

Tickets are on sale today at 11:00 am ET, ranging from $25-$500 and will be available at the Carnegie Hall Box Office at 57th St. and Seventh Avenue in New York City, CarnegieCharge 212-247-7800, and online at https://www.carnegiehall.org/

"Decades of research and evidence show us that all aspects of a child's development suffer when they are raised in orphanages and institutions. These places can never replace what a child needs, which is love, care and attention from a dedicated parent or caregiver," said Georgette Mulheir, CEO of Lumos in the press release. "Because most children in orphanages are not orphans, they can go home if we can put the right support in place for their families."

"We are profoundly grateful to J.K. Rowling, Warner Bros. and Scholastic for making this exciting film screening possible. Not only is it an opportunity to be among the first to see the film, but it will also help Lumos do the vital work needed to help the millions of vulnerable and voiceless children in orphanages get back to their families and family life, which is their right, and it is where they belong."Warner Bros. and Scholastic have donated the operating costs for the special event, meaning "every cent donated and raised" will go directly to the Lumos Families Not Orphanages Fund.
