Godzilla Resurgence Second Trailer Released

Godzilla Resurgence looks to bring back the creatures reign of terror over the populace, and now the anticipated film has released a new trailer.

The newest clip focuses on the people in the city and their as yet unproductive offensive against the monster. Tanks, Helicopters, and missiles right to his face don't seem to have much effect, which is probably what the cabinet is meeting about in such a hurried fashion.

While Godzilla is causing enough tension on his own, what with his destructive waltz through Tokyo, the score to this trailer is all kinds of good. I loved the amount of tension it brought to the trailer. It went perfectly with the over the top expressions and reactions seen throughout.

Godzilla Resurgence is directed by Hideaki Anno and Shinji Higuchi and includes stars like Jun Kunimura, Shin'ya Tsukamoto, and Satomi Ishihara.

Resurgence kicks off when a mysterious incident takes place in Tokyo Bay's Aqua Line. Following an emergency gathering of Tokyo's government, a creature emerges, causing devastation with every step. He is given the name Godzilla.

Godzilla Resurgence hits theatres on July 29th in Japan.
