Rocky IV is truly unique - a third sequel in a long-running franchise that somehow earned a legendary cult-status to rival the acclaim of the original Rocky. It's not like Rocky IV is the best film ever made (far from it, if we're all being honest), but the tale of Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) taking on Soviet Union boxing machine Ivan Drago (Dolph Lundgren) has become the stuff that American pride is made of.
Holiday season 2016 will mark the 40th anniversary of Rocky, and that milestone has apparently sent ol' Sly Stallone strolling down memory lane, because the iconic actor/filmmaker has taken to social media to share some very rare and never-before-seen looks at Rocky IV's production:
Nothing too exceptional, but to those hardcore fans who have watch Rocky IV over and over and over (and you know who you are!), any new glimpses at the film or the making of it will likely be fun and enjoyable.
In the meantime, Rocky fans should keep their eye out for many other fun tidbits and gems being shared, as the film's 40th anniversary approaches.
