Those people who are holding out hope for Barb to return in the second season of Stranger Things are completely out of luck.

Eleven actress Millie Bobby Brown recently confirmed that any hope of a happy return of the little used character is for nothing. The character is as dead as they come.

"No, she's not alive!" Brown said, plainly solidifying Barb is dead.

Despite Barb being very much dead, the character will not be overlooked in the second season of Stranger Things. David Harbour has said in the past, "There will be justice for Barb."

As for the actress, Shannon Purser's career is just beginning. The actress recently landed the title role in the upcoming Sierra Burgess Is a Loser film from Black Label Media.

Sierra Burgess Is a Loser will be directed by Ian Samuels with a script from Lindsey Beer. Beer also played a part in Akiva Goldsman's Transformers movie franchise writers room. On board to produce are Molly Smith, Rachel Smith, Trent Luckinbill, and Thad Luckinbill of Black Label Media.

The film, yet to receive a release date, will center around a case of mistaken identity which results in unexpected romance when the most popular girl in high school and the biggest loser in town have to come together and win over their crushes together. Do they end up together? Maybe. It's said to be a female-empowerment film taking on issues of bullying, confidence, and identity in the digital age -- topics familiar to millenials.

Stranger Things is in production for its second season right now.
