Stranger Things Season 2 Tune In Teaser Released

Only seven days remain until fans can head back to the world of Stranger Things, and hopefully, this new teaser trailer will make the wait a bit more bearable.

The new clip goes meta by putting viewers in front of a television screen, playing various shows and commercials from the town. The local news, in particular, has one interesting thing to share. It looks like all the pumpkins and crops, in general, have started dying, and no one knows why. Well, someone does, but they haven't told Chief Hopper yet.

Perhaps that has to do with what Will Byers saw in the Upside Down, something he's still trying to come to terms with. The trailer ends with Will looking stressed and panicked before the television cuts off.

Another thing of note is a quick snippet of footage early on, which sees the group being surrounded. The only thing you hear is someone yelling "Mike", but it's hard to make out what else is going on before the clip goes away.

Speaking of Mike Wheeler, actor Finn Wolfhard recently revealed how season 2 of Stranger Things will be different from the first season.

"I think this season will be a lot more dark," Wolfhard told PEOPLE. "A lot more horror-oriented. I think people are going to like it more than the first season. There are going to be some challenges that the characters face that are real, that are disturbing."

That's a tall order, as the first season has already developed quite a following. As for the disturbing part, that will likely come as a result of the new main villain, the mysterious but massive creature that is terrorizing Hawkins. The good news is that whatever that creature turns out to be, Dustin will be prepared to fight it, as in the final trailer he grabs his favorite baseball bat, or as he refers to it, "the one with the nails in it."

Never change Dustin, never change.

Stranger Things season 2 hits Netflix on October 27.
