A new clip from Tuesday’s episode of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., “Love in the Time of Hydra,” has been released online.

The clip shows the return of former S.H.I.E.L.D./Hydra double agents Grant Ward (Brett Dalton) and Agent 33, the latter of which is still using Agent Melinda May’s (Ming-Na Wen) face. The duo have been absent from the series since the midseason finale.
Agent 33 has apparently nursed Ward back to health after he was shot by Skye (Chloe Bennett) in Puerto Rico. The two are scene ordering at a diner, just before they go full Pulp Fiction and hold the place at gunpoint.
Ward seemed to be trying to walk the path of redemption during the first have of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 2. Is there still a chance for that after what occurred in Puerto Rico?
“There’s a lot of goodness in Ward,” Dalton tells IGN. “That’s why the writers have taken such pains and such time and energy and effort to show the flashbacks of him with the dog, of him in juvenile hall, all the stuff with his family. This is a guy coming from an extremely messed up childhood who didn’t have a way out until some guy came down and sat in the cafeteria in this juvenile hall and said, ‘You have 10 seconds to decide if you want to follow me.’ He decided to walk through that door with Agent Garrett and obviously that’s had some pretty interesting consequences, but I think that he’s still a really good guy and I’m thankful for the writers to have been able to show the backstory. I think that’s why they’ve done that.”
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
