First Look At Idris Elba In Stephen King’s Dark Tower

Thanks to set spies, fans who want to be spoiled can catch their first glimpse of Idris Elba as Roland Deschain in The Dark Tower.

You can check out a tweet below which shows off the first shots of the actor in wardrobe for the anticipated Stephen King adaptation.

The Dark Tower series tells the story of Roland Deschain, Mid-World’s last gunslinger, who is traveling southeast across Mid-World’s post-apocalyptic landscape, searching for the powerful but elusive magical edifice known as The Dark Tower. Located in the fey region of End-World, amid a sea of singing red roses, the Dark Tower is the nexus point of the time-space continuum.It is the heart of all worlds, but it is also under threat. Someone, or something, is using the evil technology of the Great Old Ones to destroy it.

The film stars Idris Elba stars as Roland Deschain and Matthew McConaughey as the Man in Black. The cast also includes Kathryn Winnick, Fran Kranz, Abbey Lee, and Jackie Earle Haley.

The Dark Tower film is shooting now for a January 13, 2017 release.
