From Star-Lord and Gamora to Drax and the lovable Baby Groot, the images show off several of the trailer’s bright spots, including that adorable scene where Baby Groot is trying to understand what “don’t push the button” means. Also, why doesn’t Rocket have any tape? Tape should be a requirement of any space mission, along with Rolaids, because even trees and aliens can get nauseous.

The space adventurers have become a weird sort of family, and director James Gunn has said previously that the dysfunctional dynamic will be a focal point of the film.
“You’re going to see these characters having to endure the realities of being in a family,” he said. “You’re talking about a guy who’s been longing to know who his father is for a long time. He’ll discover if that person lives up to the expectations he has in his head.”
Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.
