Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 gave fans a jam-packed two-and-a-half hours of heart, humor, and action when it premiered earlier this summer. But according to one of the film’s stars, Michael Rooker, there’s almost an entire film worth of extras fans will see on the Vol. 2 home release.

Rooker, who played fan-favorite Yondu in the film, spoke to ComicBook.com during last weekend’s San Diego Comic-Con. During the interview, he revealed that fans can expect almost a ton of new footage on Vol. 2‘s home release. Check it out in the clip above!
“We’re going to get a lot of stuff, dude. There’s over 80 minutes of unseen footage.” Rooker revealed.
If you’re wondering how much of that 80 minutes consists of actual deleted scenes, Vol. 2 director James Gunn was quick to clarify, in response to this very article.
He means 80 minutes of extras. There are only a few minutes of cut scenes. Forgive him, heโs Rooker. https://t.co/ZhJ6Qlrjrc

Nevertheless, Rooker did talk a bit about the film’s deleted scenes.
“[It’s] scenes that never made it into the movie, bloopers of course.” Rooker explained. “Just scenes that were as good as the ones that were in the movie, but just for some reason, they made the choice to use the scene that they used. But still, you’re going to see other moments.”
Rooker also teased another aspect of Vol. 2‘s home release – the highly-anticipated music video for ‘Guardians Inferno’, David Hasselhoff’s original song in the film.
“We got a brand new music video starring [David] Hasselhoff and all the other cast, and then some surprise people that I can’t tell you about. So that’s going to be beautiful. I have a wonderful, sexy role, you’re going to love it. We’re in 80s outfits, so just imagine.”
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits Digital HD on August 8, followed by Blu-ray and DVD on August 22.
