It’s been a busy day for Fullmetal Alchemist fans. Warner Bros. Japan dropped a full-length trailer for the film earlier today, and a slew of character posters just dropped as well. And, yes – one of them showcases Winry Rockbell in all her mechanic glory!

The posters, which can be viewed in the photo gallery below, were shared with fans over on Twitter. A total of three theatrical posters got released, and each highlights a different section of Edward Elric’s life.

The first poster closes in on Winry Rockbell and Alphonse Elric. The girl can be seen standing tall with a large wrench clutched in her hands. Winry looks recognizable thanks to her soft aesthetic, but fans have been quick to question her hair. The Fullmetal Alchemist movie ultimately chose to make the mechanic brunette rather than blond to align with the film’s Japanese cast.

As for Alphonse, the boy can be seen sitting behind Winry. The suit of armor is brought to life via CGI for the live-action movie, but fans would have a hard time telling as such. The effort put in making Alphonse look real has already impressed fans worldwide, and the trailer only stressed how good Alphonse looks even more so today.

In the second poster, fans are given a close look at some of Edward’s State Alchemist comrades. Mae Hughes is seen saluting while Hawkeye (and her puppy Black Hayate) look forward with guns blazing. And, of course, Roy Mustang can be seen conjuring flames with his legendary elemental alchemy.

The third poster gives fans their first look at the villains of Fullmetal Alchemist. The Homunculi will act as the film’s lead antagonists, and fans have learned at least three will appear. Lust, Envy, and Gluttony are shown posing with the lady front-and-center. Lust’s deadly nails can be seen gleaning under some soft moonlight, and Gluttony appears to be eating some beastly claw as an apparent snack.

You can read Viz Media’s synopsis for Fullmetal Alchemist below:

In an alchemical ritual gone wrong, Edward Elric lost his arm and his leg, and his brother Alphonse became nothing but a soul in a suit of armor. Equipped with mechanical “auto-mail” limbs, Edward becomes a state alchemist, seeking the one thing that can restore his and his brother’s bodies…the legendary Philosopher’s Stone.

If you are not familiar with Fullmetal Alchemist, then you have plenty of time to watch the anime before its live-action film arrives. The series follows brothers Edward and Alphonse after their mother tragically passes. They attempt to use alchemy to resurrect her, but the attempt takes Edward’s arm and leg – and it takes Alphonse’s entire body. Determined to get their bodies restored, Edward and Alphonse try to become State Alchemists so they can find the location of a powerful item known as the Philosopher’s Stone. But their journey ultimately leads them into a seedy world of government corruption and mass genocide.
