Warning! Spoilers for Episode 117 of Dragon Ball Super below!

As teased in the last episode of Dragon Ball Super, the remaining fighters of Universe 2 launch a conjoined attack on a weakened Goku. But luckily, the Androids jump in to help and Android 18 has her best episode of the tournament yet.

When Universe 2's God of Destruction Heles tells the five remaining fighters to ambush Goku after he's been drained of stamina from his battle with Kefla, Android 17 and 18 jump in to the rescue. Using the power of her love of Krillin and Marron, Android 18 defeats Ribrianne in a glorious fashion:

After splitting up the party, Android 17 fights Rozie while Android 18 battles the much stronger Ribrianne. Ribrianne perceives a lack of love in Android 18, but her hubris in this regard undermines how strong Android 18 has become in Dragon Ball Super.

Throughout the episode Android 18 tells about her love of Krillin and Marron, and wanting to win the Tournament of Power to give them a good life, and this comes to head in the final battle with Ribrianne.

Ribrianne binds her with her ultimate move "Big Amour," and then grows to an unbelievable size thanks to a power boost provided by the eliminated members of Universe 2, Android 18 loses all hope of winning.

But thanks to a flashback compiling never before seen scenes of Krillin and 18's quiet home life full of love, and being snapped out of her funk thanks to Krillin helpfully cheering her on, Android 18 breaks out of her binding and then jumps straight into Ribrianne's raining down fist.

In an almost Gainax and Trigger finale fashion, 18 broke Ribrianne's ephemeral form into pieces and ran up her arm. Ribrianne tried to launch a last ditch blast at 18, but Android 17 thankfully jumped in at the last minute to block it. Android 18 then jumped across Ribrianne's broken form, straight into her energy blast, and punched a hole straight through Ribrianne's giant visage while screaming all the way through.

This was undoubtedly the coolest moment Android 18 has had in the series so far, and the coolest she has been since the "Android" arc in Dragon Ball Z.

Dragon Ball Super's "Universal Survival" arc is part of the recent simulcast agreement that sites like Crunchyroll and Funimation have scored. Dragon Ball Super airs on Crunchyroll Saturday evenings at 7:15 p.m. CST. Adult Swim airs the English dub during its Toonami block Saturday evenings at 11:30 p.m
