When Dragon Ball Super announced the ‘Universal Survival’ arc, fans of the anime were interested to see what kind of warriors would be brought to the show. The anime has introduced a slew of villains during its run so far, and a deadly multiverse tournament would be just the place to show off new fighters. With the arc now underway, fans have only been introduced to the warriors of Universe 9, but the most recent episode of Dragon Ball Super did hint at one of Universe 11’s challengers.

And, yeah – he’s kind of a badass.

The last episode of Dragon Ball Super may have focused on Mr. Buu and Basil battling, but Universe 11 did get a moment to shine. During the fight, Buu sends a massive energy blast towards Basil who deflects the offense, and the Gods of Destruction balk when they suddenly become a target. However, Universe 11 keeps calm under pressure as its God has an ace. Vermoud commands the mysterious hooded figure behind him to go to work, and the warrior named Toppo absorbs Buu’s attack with ease.

So far, there’s little know about the black-hooded figure aside from his name, but some information has dropped about his status. Many fans were initially confused about why the character was watching the martial arts tournament when the rest of the universes’ only brought their Gods, Angels, and Kai to spectate. However, it seems Toppo was allowed to watch the proceedings because he could become a new God of Destruction.

Clearly, the guy is powerful; He was able to deflect one of Buu’s attacks after the rotund alien got serious. Toppo is also said to be the leader of Universe 11’s warriors, so his battle will definitely be one to look forward to. Fans were first learned about Toppo when details about the tournament’s warriors were first released, and the hooded figure became all-too recognizable when his mustache was seen under his robe.
