'Dragon Ball Super' Dub Preview Introduces The Series’ Most Powerful Character Yet

If you are caught up with the English dub of Dragon Ball Super, then you will know the 'Universe 6' saga is about to come to a close. The anime's 40th episode ended with Champa and his team losing their matches with Universe 7, but Universe 6 was spared punishment when a new face appeared. And, thanks to a new clip, fans know the stranger happens to be the franchise's most powerful yet.

Over on Twitter, the folks at Funimation shared a teaser clip of Dragon Ball Super's 41st episode. The footage introduces Zeno, a pint-sized alien with a rather childish voice. The blue-and-purple deity may look easygoing, but fans should not be fooled. Zeno is the actually the ruler of the franchise's entire multiverse, and he is the most powerful character ever introduced.

So, sorry Goku.

"He's tiny, he's adorable, & he can wipe out entire universes with a giggle!" Funimation captioned its teaser. "King of all creation Zeno finally makes his appearance in tonight's new #DBSuper dub on Toonami, but we're giving you an EARLY sneak peek at his ultra-cute voice, provided by Sarah Wiedenheft!"

The clip, which can be seen above, shows Beerus reacting to the Omni-King's arrival. The God of Destruction looks horrified to see his master, and Champa react similarly. They rush down to greet Zeno, bowing more than ninety degrees at the Omni-King as they get scolded. Both Whis and Vados take pleasure tattling on their wards to the Omni-King, and it seems as if Zeno thinks about erasing them for a moment. However, the all-powerful god simply thanks the duo for inspiring him to hold a multiverse tournament, and Goku can't help but swear in excitement when he hears the god's plan.

Dragon Ball Super will have a lot more to say about Zeno as it goes on, but anyone caught up with the anime in full knows how powerful the fighter is. Zeno may be cute, but the Omni-King has the power to erase entire universes with a snap. The deity once erased 6 universes after throwing a temper tantrum, and his childish outlook makes him a truly dangerous opponent. Zeno doesn't realize when he has taken something to far, but his immaturity does work well with Goku's simple personality. The pair become friends as the anime goes on, but that doesn't mean the Omni-King will not smite the Saiyan if the hero should step out of line.

Dragon Ball Super's "Universal Survival" saga is part of the recent simulcast agreement that sites like Crunchyroll and Funimation have scored. Dragon Ball Super airs on Crunchyroll Saturdays at 7:15 p.m. CST. Toonami airs the English dub on Adult Swim Saturdays at 11:30 p.m.
