New Naruto Live-Action Play Debuts Villainous Character Photos

Naruto fans, you better believe it! That's what the knuckle-headed ninja would want you to do. Later this year, a brand-new Naruto play is set to make its debut in Japan, and the folks behind the project are eager to get fans excited. After debuting a slew of character photos weeks ago, the official website for Live Spectacle Naruto has revealed more photos. And, this time, they are showing off several villains from the franchise.

The new play, which is set to undertake the anime's Akatsuki organization, has now shown off photos of three fledgling members. Keishi Hagio can be seen playing Suigetsu Hōzuki while Kanon Nanaki takes over Karin, the red-haired sensor. And, to round-out the trio, Tomoya Yamaguchi is seen in character as Jūgo.

Anime fans will be familiar with the three ninjas as they were comrades to Sasuke after the Uchiha left Orochimaru. The group was known as Team Taka, and the trio eventually teamed up with the Akatsuki after Sasuke learned the truth about his older brother's past once Itachi passed.

So far, the three photos are the only ones to be released following the play's first release. Earlier this month, character photos of Sasuke, Naruto, and Itachi were revealed to plenty of online buzz.

If you want to see the musical for yourself, then you better get tickets to the show and to Tokyo. The production will be housed at the AiiA 2.5 Theater in Tokyo between May 19 and June 4. It will then run in Osaka between June 16-22 before returning to Tokyo in July. The show will then end on August 6.

The first live-action Naruto musical began back in March 2015 in Tokyo before it went abroad in Macau, Malaysia, and Singapore. A year later, a second musical was performed in Osaka and then Tokyo.
