The video shows a conversation between the Doctor (Peter Capaldi) and Ashildr (Maisie Williams) hundreds of years after the events of “The Girl Who Died.” Ashildr no longer remembers her name, and barely remembers her life in that small Viking village. Now, she describes herself as “her own companion,” allowing the Doctor to see what his near immortal existence might be like without his own travelling companions.
