Carrie Fisher the Talk

Speaking at the Hay Festival in Wales, Star Wars Episode VII actress Carrie Fisher joked that the cast look like they’ve “melted” in the 37 years since they first appeared together in Star Wars.”[The original cast] all look a little melted. It’s good to see other melted people,” Fisher said according to Digital Spy. “And it is good to have us all in a room because it’s unique. I mean, I don’t suppose they have reunions for the Gone with the Wind gang.”She also joked that she remains attached to the trappings of the role, saying that she wears the golden bikini from Return of the Jedi under her clothes for special occasions and that while her original Star Wars hairstyle is probably impossible to play straight anymore, she’s kind of like to see it make a reappearance as “granny Leia” while cooking in the upcoming sequels. This week, Bluewater Press will release a Spanish-language edition of their Carrie Fisher bio-comic, Female Force: Carrie Fisher.
