Wonder Woman's Lynda Carter Comes to Supergirl in "Welcome to Earth" Synopsis

The CW has released the official synopsis for "Welcome to Earth," the third episode of Supergirl's second season.

In the episode, Wonder Woman star Lynda Carter as U.S. President Olivia Marsdin.

LYNDA CARTER ("WONDER WOMAN") LANDS IN NATIONAL CITY AS PRESIDENT OLIVIA MARSDIN — An attack is made on the President (guest star Lynda Carter) as hot-button, alien vs. human rights issues heat up in National City. Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and the DEO are assigned to protect the President and bring in the responsible party. Alex (Chyler Leigh) teams up with Detective Maggie Sawyer (Floriana Lima) to investigate the case while Kara searches for a recently escaped Mon-El (Chris Wood), who she fears may be the alien behind the assault.

Tank Girl and Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare director Rachel Talalay, who recently helped the episode of The Flash titled "Fast Lane," directed the episode, which was written by Jessica Queller and Derek Simon.

Supergirl airs on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW. New episodes start on October 10. "Welcome to Earth" will air on October 24.
