After tonight’s episode of The Flash, it looks like a new character will be heading to DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. According to Deadline, Christina Brucato has been cast in a recurring role on the series.
Fans were introduced to Brucato’s character tonight in The Flash’s crossover episode. The actress plays Lily Stein, the daughter of scientist Martin Stein who acts as Firestorm. The character was seemingly created after a recent time-traveling schtick put Martin in contact with a younger version of himself. The elder told himself to shape up and put more work into the fragile relationship with his wife. Fans first met the (rather tense) couple when Martin appeared on The Flash prior to his Legends of Tomorrow stint.
Since Martin's mind-bending interaction, his older self has been having odd visions which hint that his past changing. The Flash confirmed Martin was right when he had a trippy, hallucinatory vision about Lily towards the episode’s end.
If you are interested in learning more about Lily, then it looks like you are in luck. This week’s episode of Legends of Tomorrow is set to explore the character while also tying up the current Invasion! crossover special. The episode's description treats Lily's introduction as if it's a nuisance, so fans may see Martin take after Barry Allen later this week. The scientist might travel back in time to prevent his daughter from being born and altering further timelines like the Flash had to do to his mother Nora.
If you want to check out the synopsis for this week’s episode, then you can read it below:
