But Vin Diesel and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson don’t have a monopoly on cool cars capable of epic stunts and action. Comic books have been having fun with vehicular action for decades, and they’ve produced some pretty cool and very unique vehicles in the process.
ComicBook.com has taken a look at some of the coolest cars to ever grace a comic book page. We’ve narrowed our list down to the five best of the best and ranked them accordingly.

5. Fantasticar
Where’s my flying car? That’s a question people disappointed with the present day always ask, expressing how modernity has fallen short of their science fiction dreams.
Reed Richards solved the flying car problem years ago in the Marvel Universe. The Fantasticar have been the Fantastic Four’s primary means of transportation since practically the very beginning of the Marvel Universe. Sure, it started off looking like a flying bathtub, but it has been upgraded on multiple occasions for a cooler look.
The Fantastic comes in at the bottom of this list for two reason. First, flying bathtub. Second, as a flying vehicle, it barely qualifies as a car. That said, we’d still like the keys to one.
4. Lola
Now Lola is the dream of a flying car done right.
Lola, which stands for Low-Orbit LiftoffAutomobilee, was introduced in Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD and made its way into the comics as characters like Phil Coulson did as well.
Inspired by Nick Fury’s flying cars from the Silver Age of comics, Lola looks like a classic car that’s been kept in top shape. What’s hidden underneath is the ability to take to the skies to avoid rush hour traffic and to follow escaping supervillain terrorists.
Like any good spy car, Lola hides a lot of nifty tricks under the hood. Whatever you do, don’t touch Lola.
3. Spider-Mobile
The Spider-Mobile was once a joke of a vehicle. Why would Spider-Man, a guy who already gets around by web-slinging, possibly need a car painted in his costume’s colors?
Well, the Spider-Mobile is no joke these days. Peter Parker currently is the head of Parker Industries, the most successful tech company in the Marvel universe. He can even afford to have Spider-Man on the payroll as his personal bodyguard. Go figure.
Another perk of making all of that money? He can make a Spider-Mobile that’s actually worthwhile. The new Spider-Mobile has a sleek design, drives at high speeds and goes up and down walls. The modern Spider-Mobile is outfitted with web-fluid airbags and a voice-operated computer system. It can drive on sheer surfaces and upside-down, and its wheels can transform into spider-like legs.
As for the old Spider-Mobile? Deadpool took it a repainted it black and red and started calling it the Dead-Buggy. Seems appropriate.
2. Hell Charger
When Robbie Reyes became the new Ghost Rider, he challenged what the title even meant. Not only is Robbie not possessed by a spirit of vengeance – he’s possessed by his satanic, serial killer uncle instead – he doesn’t actually ride anything.
Instead, Robbie Reyes drives a black 1969 Dodge Charger that transformed into nearly literally hell on wheels. Now called the Hell Charger, the vehicle has the same abilities as the traditional Ghost Rider’s Hell Cycle: it can ghost through matter, produce hellfire, is basically impervious to conventional weapons, and can self-repair whatever damage it does take.
The vehicle made its live-action debut on Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD and it was quite the sight to behold.
1. Batmobile
Is there, or hast here ever been, a more iconic vehicle in the world of comic books than the
Batman’s primary vehicle has been upgraded and redesigned many times and upgraded and redesigned again for appearances on television and in films.
The Batmobile has been a sports car, a sleek detective’s vehicle, and something close to a tank. It’s been outfitted with more weapons than you can count, ramming capabilities, and anti-theft measures that make most car manufacturers jealous.
And that’s part of what makes the Batmobile so great. It has been designed and redesigned so many times, with so many different influences, that there’s basically a Batmobile for everyone, and surely more to come.
