DC Fan Takes A Screenshot Of Every Time Superman Saves Someone

DC's Cinematic Universe, though financially successful, has been criticized by fans who feel the darker, more serious tone fails to capture the irreverence of their comic book counterparts while not staying true to the core ideals that make the source material work so well.
One of the key criticisms is levied at Zack Snyder's version of Superman, portrayed by Henry Cavill in Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. In those films, the character fights a lot of bad guys and even kills Zod—causing fans to complain that Superman doesn't save a lot of people in comparison to fighting.
A DC movies fan took umbrage with that critique and took a screenshot of every moment in the DC movies featuring Clark Kent's heroic alter ego in which he saves someone.
Through two DC movies, Superman has rescued many people, though it's not exactly a feature staple in the movies. The second film tends to focus on the consequences of his presence with an extended sequence looking at Superman's many heroic deeds while talking heads and pundits debate both the merits and negative aspects.

In this sequence Superman saves people from burning buildings, floods, crashing space shuttles, and stranded tankers. But some of the images featured on the collage are stretching to consider the moments "Superman Saves Someone," such as "Superman Surrenders To Humanity" or "Saves Batman From Himself."
It's definitely more than any other DC hero has done up until then, considering Flash, Batman, and Wonder Woman are more than capable. Wonder Woman though tends to hang around in museums and art galleries at this time while Batman beats up criminals.
Superman is considered to be the prototypical hero and many of the best portrayals feature the character in similar acts of heroism. And it's nice to see someone recognize the character's many heroic deeds in an otherwise bleak portrayal of superpowered individuals in the DC cinematic universe.
Superman will next be featured in Justice League in theaters November 17.
