If you're a fan of Arrow, you've surely heard about the show's controversially inclusion of Oliver's relationship with Felicity Smoak. Whether you're Team Olicity, Team Lauliver, or Team Who-Cares, fans of the CW's hit show have lots to say when it comes to Oliver and Felicity. And, in the wake of the show's latest season, Stephen Amell apparently has plenty to say too.

Attending Heroes & Villains FanFest in New Jersey over the week, Amell shared his thoughts on Olicity with fans at an Arrow panel. "I was chatting with a couple of fans earlier and they were saying there hasn't been a lot of positivity and reassuring notions when it comes to Oliver and Felicity's relationship," he said. "I think that it's important to remember that relationships on the show don't have to be only defined by romance. Oliver and Felicity could have a wonderful, fulfilling, dynamic relationship and not be together, right?"

Clearly, many die-hard Felicity fans were in attendance as the crowd broke into booing cries. Placating fans, Amell told his fans, "That wasn't a question, OK. That's how the world works! So we will see where they are this year. I hope that they're both in a happy positive place. Whether that means they're together or not remains to be seen."

Amell's cryptic words clearly contrast with one of his co-star's announcements at the convention. Actor David Ramsey, who plays John Diggle, excited shippers everywhere when he told them to expect, "We can expect death, mayhem, and Oliver and Felicity getting back together." While Ramsey didn't specify whether the couple would reunite in Season 5, Olicity fans were relieved to hear the news as Arrow's fourth season essentially KO'd the couple's rocky relationship. Following a brief period of domestic bliss away from Star City, Felicity and Oliver returned home only to be greeted by tragedy and suffering. The season's end left the couple with their brief engagement broken, and many of Arrow's fans found themselves waging a 'shipping war' as Lauliver lovers complained about the show's unfair bias towards Felicity.

Currently, it's unclear whether Olicity will return to the show, but Amell seems confident that his character can get along with Felicity whether they're together or not. So, what do you think? Can Oliver really stick to just being friends with his ex next season?
