Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hit another milestone Tuesday, passing $700 million at the global box office. That surpasses Man of Steel's $668 million total, which it took 14 weeks to make, in less than two full weeks of release.
The current split between US and international gross is around 37% to 63%, with the international haul not quite double what it's pulled in domestically.
The second weekend of Batman v Superman did drop sharply, 69%, from weekend one to weekend two, but is expected by analysts to keep the #1 slot for its third weekend. Still, it was the sharpest drop for any modern comic book movie, and means that the $1 billion mark is most likely out of reach.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is in theaters everywhere now.
