Gal Gadot Explains Why Ben Affleck Is One Of Her Favorite Batmans

When it comes to Batman, there have been plenty of actors who’ve donned the hero’s cowl. Top stars like Michael Keaton and Adam West thrust the Gotham vigilante into stardom before more recent men like Christian Bale solidified Batman’s place in Hollywood. In the past year, Ben Affleck has become the latest leading man to suit up as the hero, but fans still remained split over the star’s work. Now, one of the actor’s co-stars is speaking out about her love for Affleck and admitting he’s one of her favorite Batmans to date.

“I think that Ben is such a good actor. Very, very talented. I think the interpretation that they gave Batman in this movie they wanted him to be more weary, more tired of life, more cynical, more dark. I think that Ben captured it in such a sophisticated way,” she told Sky Cinema UK and Ireland.

“He’s one of my favorite Batmans, for sure – if not the best one.”

In Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League is directed by Zack Snyder, from a screenplay by Chris Terrio, and features an ensemble cast that includes Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Ciarán Hinds, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Jeremy Irons and Jesse Eisenberg.
