Spoilers from here on out.
In this week’s Canary Cry episode, we find the entire team, especially Diggle, coming to terms with the loss of Laurel Lance. Executive Producer Wendy Mericle talked a bit about that process.
“When we last left the team and their last episode, we saw that Laurel Lance is, has left the team permanently, unfortunately. It was a very devastating episode, and this is going to be our big send-off for her. We’re going to see Diggle really struggling with the guilt that he feels over his brother’s role in Laurels death as we saw on 4:18.”
Though their loss pales in comparison to Quentin Lance, who has lost so much more.
“Her father, Quentin Lance, is grappling with the loss, the huge loss, of losing her. He’s obviously gone through this kind of loss with Sara, a couple of times, but now with Laurel, he’s having to come to terms with the fact that death is now permanent.”
