Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice got a lot of criticism for being too dark and fans of the upcoming Justice League have been concerned that the same dark tone would carry over. Now, with Justice League just a few weeks from its debut, Gal Gadot says that is not the case.

Recently, Empire Magazine (via Bleeding Cool) spoke with Gadot and the cast of the Justice League about the film and the Wonder Woman actress said that Justice League isn't as "dark or heavy" as Batman v Superman.

"Justice League is not a dark or heavy movie," Gadot said. "It doesn't have the weight that Batman v Superman had."

When Batman v Superman was released, it was quickly criticized for being a little too heavy and way too dark and concerns that Snyder brought the darkness to Justice League only intensified when Joss Whedon ordered extensive reshoots following Snyder's exit from the film following the tragic loss of his daughter. However, despite the reshoots, Gadot insisted that the film is still Snyder's and that the reshoots -- and any tone shift that may imply -- stayed true to his vision.

"This is Zack Snyder's movie," Gadot said. "Joss only did a few weeks of reshoots. He was Zack's guy and knew exactly what he wanted to get."

Ezra Miller (The Flash,) also reiterated that Snyder always planned for Justice League to bring a lightness to the DC Films Universe (formerly DC Extended Universe.)

"Zack always intended for the Justice League to rise out of the darkness, and maybe even bring Batman with them," Miller said. "Maybe an inch."

Fans will get to see how Justice League's tone, and Snyder's vision, comes out when the film opens in theaters next month.
