Two Wonder Womans Meet

Since the day she first appeared on the comic book page, over 75 years ago, Wonder Woman has been a pillar of hope, courage, and power.

Many young women have been empowered by years of Wonder Woman comics from talented creaters, animated movies, animated television shows, and of course, the upcoming Wonder Woman solo movie.

Today, history was made as two actressess who have held the mantle of Wonder Woman with honor met each other.

Actress Gal Gadot, who is the current Wonder Woman in DC Movies and voice actress Susan Eisenberg, who is the animated Wonder Woman met today.

Susan Eisenberg has been the voice behind the strong Amazon Princess since 2001 when she landed the role of Wonder Woman for the animated Justice League series.

She went on to voice Diana Prince in Justice League Unlimited and feature-length DC animated movies Justice League: Doom, Batman/Superman: Apocalypse, and 2013's Wonder Woman.

Gal Gadot first appeared as Wonder Woman in Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, where she effortlessly slid into battle with Batman and Superman against the movie's big bad Doomsday.

Gadot has already finished filming the Wonder Woman solo movie, which will bring the beloved lady superhero to the big screen for the first time as a lead character. As a follow-up to BvS, she willl reprise her role in the upcoming Justice League movie as well.

Both of these amazing women have given fans of DC's first female superhero almost perfect renditions of the iconic character.

Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers and her true destiny.

Joining Gadot in the international cast are Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, David Thewlis, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Ewen Bremner and Saïd Taghmaoui. Patty Jenkins directs the film from a screenplay by Allan Heinberg and Geoff Johns, story by Zack Snyder and Allan Heinberg, based on characters from DC Entertainment. Wonder Woman was created by William Moulton Marston.

Wonder Woman arrives on June 2, 2017, followed by Justice League on November 17, 2017; The Flash on March 16, 2018; Aquaman on July 27, 2018; Shazam on April 5, 2019; Justice League 2 on June 14, 2019; Cyborg on April 3, 2020; and Green Lantern Corps on July 24, 2020. The Batman, Dark Universe and Man of Steel 2 are also in development.
