Shenmue III Will Have Huge Presence At Gamescom Next Month

One game that was noticeably absent last month during the Electronic Entertainment Expo was Shenmue III – and that's a bit weird, as that's where the game was announced quite some time ago. But we'll be seeing YS Net's forthcoming sequel soon enough, as the team has confirmed it'll have presence at a major event.

The game's official website has noted that the game will get some huge presence at the forthcoming event, and while it didn't note exactly what we would see, it did state that it planned to showcase the "newest movie clips, share the latest updates and even make some new announcements." So it sounds like we're going to get some big-time information.

In addition, the company also revealed some new images from the game, including the updated title logo that gives players an idea of what to expect, along with three pieces of concept art featuring unique characters from the game, including a "strong-willed girl," "a lady with curlers in her hair" and an old man with "lovely facial hair." You can check it out in the attached gallery, and see what all the game has to offer.

The show will take place from August 22nd through the 26th, and we'll bring you other details as they become available.

Shenmue III doesn't have a specified release date, but it's expected sometime next year.
