Destiny 2 is right around the corner, only weeks away, and Bungie just unleashed an incredible new competitive multiplayer trailer that will get your blood pumping. For those of you who, like me, spent most of your time in the The Crucible in the original Destiny, this trailer will truly speak to you. Check it out above.

What more could you ask for? Bullets, lasers, explosions, Fatboy Slim... This trailer had it all! When Destiny 2 servers go live on September 6, you bet your butts that I'll be racing through that story as quickly as possible so I can start enjoying the competitive scene and reaping those rewards. I'm ready for new Crucible faction shaders, weapons, and vehicles. It's going to be a race to the top, and I'll be right there with all of you.

I played quite a bit of the Destiny 2 beta and really enjoyed my time there. The four-on-four approach and tighter maps felt like a good fit to me, and I can't wait to play on more maps and more modes to flesh out my impressions a bit. It still seemed like the same floaty Destiny to me overall, but that doesn't mean that the controls aren't sharp. They are, and Destiny 2 controls like a dream once you get your sensitivity all squared away.

We'll have our full review of Destiny 2 soon after the game launches (Amazon Prime members can save 20% on the pre-order). Servers don't go live until launch day, so we'll be playing the game at the same time as you are. Because of this, everyone's reviews will be somewhat belated, so be patient.

Game Features:

  • Rich cinematic story campaign.
  • Multiple cooperative game modes for epic, social fun.

  • Intense 4v4 competitive multiplayer matches, including 5 different PVP modes.

  • Expansive, never-before-seen worlds and spaces to explore.

  • Customize your character's weapons and armor with an all-new array of gear.

  • Discover Lost Sectors, complete new Adventure missions, or rally to Public Events with other Guardians.

  • Introducing a brand new Guided Games system that helps players find like-minded groups to experience Destiny 2's most challenging activities, like the Raid.
