Dragon Ball FighterZ: Vegeta Beats Goku in Voice Actor Showdown, Fans React

It was a showdown for the ages; it was every Dragon Ball fan's dream. Real-life Vegeta, and real-life Goku, going head-to-head in what could be the best Dragon Ball game ever developed. That's right! In case you missed it, Sean Schemmel and Chris Sabat, the voice actors who give life to Goku and Vegeta respectively, faced off in Dragon Ball FighterZ, and it was every bit as epic as we hoped it would be.

In the clip above, you can see the closing moments of the showdown, wherein Sabat finally clenches the win over Schemmel, forever cementing the fact that Vegeta is in fact the true prince of Saiyans, and better at Goku in Dragon Ball FighterZ. You'll notice, though, that things actually wrap up with Schemmel winning a match as Goku. In true Vegeta fashion, Sabat was letting his opponent win a round in order to tease him, since he had been running away with the championship, and he victory had already been secured.

It was pure savagery, and something that Goku fans will be lamenting for months to come. We're hoping that a rematch will come at some point, but we're not sure if Goku can rally from this one. Fans on both sides were reveling in the drama, and the reactions were priceless.

Oh well. Better luck next time, Team Goku. If nothing else, you guys have the chance to redeem Goku this weekend in Dragon Ball FighterZ. The game is now available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One!
