We're just a few days away from the start of the Electronic Entertainment Expo for 2017, but just a couple of days before that, we'll be knee deep in Electronic Arts' separate gaming event, EA Play, which kicks off on Saturday morning with a special presentation that will include Star Wars Battlefront II and Need For Speed: Payback, amongst other games. But it turns out we won't even need to wait that long to see one of the company's bigger hits in action.

The company noted today on social media that it will be providing a first look at its latest soccer game, FIFA 18, starting tomorrow, June 15th. The first trailer is expected to be posted on the company's YouTube channel, along with some gameplay that shows just what kind of refinements the developer has put into the Frostbite game engine.

Last year's FIFA 17 was very well received with both the community and game critics, and the game went on to become a hit best-seller all over the world, including Europe. This year's game is likely to repeat, with a number of new features being added to the already reliable (and entertaining) gameplay, along with visuals touch-ups and other online features that will make it the best game of soccer around.

The game will be shown ahead of its official presentation at EA Play this Saturday, where it's expected to be a part of the hit line-up. However, EA failed to mention whether we would be getting a look at the separate release of EA Sports FIFA for the Nintendo Switch tomorrow, so we'll more than likely see it during Saturday's presentation.

FIFA 18 will be amongst one of the many sports games at the event, as EA Sports will also feature its latest football game, Madden NFL 18, alongside its oft-delayed basketball effort NBA Live 18. There could be other titles revealed as well, like NHL 18 and a possible new golf game, so we'll let you know all the details as they happen during the presentation.

FIFA 18 is set for release later this year for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The Nintendo Switch version will likely arrive around the same time.
