It's finally time to return to the most beautiful Final Fantasy setting of them all, Ivalice, in Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age. This brilliant HD remaster of one of the most celebrated Final Fantasy games of all time is finally available on PS4, and the reviews have been glowing. Square Enix has gone above and beyond to make this the ultimate version of the game, overhauling not only the visuals, but the gameplay and progression systems as well. Ready to have your mind blown? Check out the trailer above, and try to wrap you mind around the fact that this game originally came out over a decade ago.

"FINAL FANTASY XII THE ZODIAC AGE features the unique and innovative gambit system, now updated and joined by the brand-new Zodiac Job System, which overhauls the original License Board system and gives players the ability to develop two of 12 jobs for each character. These updates, alongside the newly implemented speed mode, auto-save functionality, and shortened loading times, will allow players to experience a grand adventure that spans the world of Ivalice in an entirely fresh and improved way."

Through the Gambit System, you can basically program your party members to behave and battle the way you want them to. Want everyone to go all out against the enemies and never waste time healing while you're grinding little monsters? You can do that. Want to make sure that a healer has your back as soon as you go below 50% health during a boss battle? The Gambit System lets you do that as well.

And speaking of grinding, it's going to be much more manageable this time around. Those of you who had the pleasure of playing Final Fantasy VII on the PS4, you know that the 3X speed setting is a miracle of modernity. Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age also allows you to speed things up by 3X when going through those long stretches of exploration and grinding in between main events.

It's the perfect refresher of an already-legendary game. Don't sleep on this one.
