As if the forthcoming Minecraft Xbox One special edition console wasn’t enough to entice fans, Microsoft has released a pair of limited Minecraft video game controllers that no lover of the series should be without.

Although the system bundle comes with a specially designed Xbox One S system and controller that stand out in their own right, the controllers are a piece of work as well, based on the Creeper and Pig characters from the game. Yes, that means a pink controller is up for grabs, but this is one players won’t mind โ even though it totally has a pig butt.
We’ve included trailers for the controllers, as well as images, over the next couple of pages, so take a closer look and see what you can snag right now at the Microsoft Store and other retailers.
Creeper
First off, the Creeper controller looks rather awesome. Featuring a green pixelated design with a number of color shades, as well as a Creeper face right on the front of the controller, it just looks like something that’d be right at home for Minecraft fans. On top of that, there’s a TNT emblem on the back of the controller, so you can, ahem, feel the impact as you work your way through a number of rounds within the game. This is probably going to be the key pick for Minecraft fans, though there’s room for both controllers. You can get them at retailers now.
Pig
So, if the Creeper controller didn’t quite win you over, then there’s a good chance that the Pig one will. Featuring a cute little pig face on the front of the controller and a little tail on the back (thus the “pig butt” we talked about earlier), it’s a neat, pink-colored controller with some shade on the top to emulate pig ears. It looks fantastic, and features a great deal of playability, just like Microsoft’s other control offerings. It’s pretty cool, even if you don’t necessarily need a pink controller in your collection.

Will we see more Minecraft designs in the future? Possibly. We’d love to see a “Steve” controller make the rounds, just to make us get into a good Minecraft frame of mind. In the meantime, you can purchase the Creeper controller here and the Pig controller here.
