A Nendoroid for Pokemon‘s Ash and Pikachu that was advertised several months ago has been revealed, a product that aligns with the upcoming Pokemon movie and celebrates the 20th anniversary of the anime.
Celebrating the iconic Pokemon Trainer from the anime series, the Nendoroid replicates the look of Ash during his first journeys through Kanto. As can be expected with Nendoroids, the Ash figure will come with several face plates to swap out to take on different looks from the series. A resting smiling face, a more intense battle face, and an eyes-closed smiling face are the options that players have to choose from with the figure. The signature hat of Ash is included, of course, and the figure wouldn’t be complete without the included ability to turn the hat around backwards for those battle moments.

And when it comes to the battles, Ash is bringing his trusty Pikachu with him as well. Pikachu offers a similar deal that Ashe does in terms of customization with multiple face plates as well. As opposed to Ash’s three faces, Pikachu will come with both a standard face and a battle expression. Some lighting effects for Pikachu’s attacks will also be shipped with the figure in addition to a Poke Ball for Ash to hold.
While the Nendoroid is available for preorder for approximately $44, the strange thing about the figure is where it can be shipped to, or more specifically, where it can’t be shipped to. According to the Good Smile Company’s site where the figure is currently listed for preorder, it’s only available to be shipped to Hong Kong, Korea, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, and Singapore.
The figure is currently available for preorder through the site from now until Aug. 10, and while the delivery options are currently limited, there’s a decent chance that it’ll go on sale outside of those areas eventually given the popularity of the anime.
