Dallas Fuel Overwatch pro is in some major hot water after Felix "xQx" Lengyel hurled an insult to a fellow player that crossed community standard lines during a post-match stream.
The insult in question was directed at Houston Outlaws' Austin "Muma" Wilmot after a win against the Dallas team. Wilmot used the term "rolled and smoked" during the match which infuriated Lengyel being a term normally coined by him. Though Lengyel himself did not play in the match, he still reacted angrily in retaliation that ultimately led to his suspension.
Warning for adult/graphic language below.
Lengyel immediately reacted by yelling, "No, you didn't smoke sh*t. Shut your f*cking mouth. Go back there, suck a fat c*ck. I mean, he would like that." The dig in question was already a horrible display of showmanship in a professional environment, but many players reacted more fiercely due to Wilmot being openly gay.
Wilmot on his own stream, despite stating that he wasn't bothered did comment that Lengyel couldn't get off of the bench and called him a "homophobic piece of garbage." Since then, both parties made amends in a mutually respectful way via social media but just because the two of them have come to terms, doesn't mean the team is letting Lengyel off so easily:
The team will be taking disciplinary action related to recent comments made by Felix “@xQc” Lengyel. xQc will not be active for tonight’s match. Additional details forthcoming.

xQc should not get a pass for making derogatory comments to the only openly gay player in #OverwatchLeague. This goes for both public ridicule and direct punishment that should come from Blizzard and the Dallas Fuel organization.

As esports grows this type of banter will be tolerated less, no matter the player's personality. For what it's worth I have banned xQc from the professional Overwatch/OWL Discord for one week, as I have done with other pro players for similar comments in the past (Taimou, Zombs).

xQc will be receiving disciplinary action from the team and will not be playing in tonight's games.

The reactions were instantaneous,
Xqc is a professional OWL player / streamer. He needs to act like it. A lot of people look up to him and even if they're not a fan, people still watch his streams for gameplay. He shouldn't get a pass for playing it off as a joke after the fact.

I would argue leniency for any player if it was his/her first offense, but this is just a reoccurring thing for xqc. It started in ranked and progressed into comp over time. At this point, he needs a reality check so he can come to terms with being a public figure.

Toxic behavior has its consequences. xQc is finally facing one of those consequences. Fanboys need to deal with it. Also, for those implying that Fuel is doomed to lose without xQC, reminder: Fuel lost games WITH xQc. As good as he is, he's not the god you're making him out to be

Many were disgusted by the outburst, while others state that it's not ban-worthy and that's just xQx being xQx. Regardless of where you stand on the matter, the suspension is now in full effect.
