If you clicked in to this article, then you’re a risk taker. You’re the type of person who doesn’t mind rolling the bones and taking a chance. For people like you, there’s an enticing new promotion on gog.com right now. For $3 you can buy yourself a colorful little piñata, but that piñata doesn’t contain any candy. No, it contains something much more exciting: a brand new video game. Your $3 purchase could return a full-price game you’ve been dying to play, or it could return an older RPG that you’ll never think twice about playing. That’s the risk, but the risk is paying off for a lot of people.

I’ve been monitoring a thread on a gaming forum where people are buying multiple piñatas and sharing their spoils. There are some fantastic games included in the prize pool right now! Some users are opening up games like Rime, SOMA, Darksiders Warmastered Edition, Shadow Warrior, Batman: The Telltale Series, and The Sexy Brutale. Some of these games are quite new, and most of them are very highly rated on Steam! I decided to give it a whirl myself, and ended up getting Titan Quest: Anniversary Edition.
I have to admit, I never would have purchased this game myself, and it’s not exactly what I was hoping for, but I may give it a shot. It’s currently listed on Steam for $19.99 and has incredible reviews. People are calling it Diablo set in a world dominated by Greek mythology. I’ll be honest, fan, I’m down for that.
If nothing else, it’s only three bucks. If you were desperate to do so, you could very likely walk around outside for about 20 minutes and find three dollars in change. Even if you end up with a game you have no interest in playing, you didn’t lose anything significant. And hey! You could end up with something really special! Plenty of users are coming back and reporting exciting results.
Time to roll the dice, chump.
