Director James Mangold continues to build the hype for his upcoming Wolverine movie, Logan, taking to social media to once again share some imagery.

Today’s image is another look at franchise star Hugh Jackman in the film, but like everything that Mangold shares, there’s a dual agenda at work. These ‘teaser images’ at once highlight the style and tone of the film, while also dropping some major visual clues and Easter eggs for fans to buzz about.

Clearly this is yet another stylistic nod to the Old Man Logan storyline, with Jackman looking every bit the grizzled and weathered version of Logan that Mark Millar wrote on paper.
What’s also a nice bit of meta humor is that Jackman always has one of these “muscle man” shirtless pics that becomes the iconography of his respective Wolverine preformances. This image (with his ropey old man muscles) will likely make it into the growing gallery.

Logan hits theaters on March 3, 2017, followed by Deadpool 2 on January 12, 2018. Movie versions of Gambit, New Mutants and X-Force are still being developed.
