Over the course of the past few months, Disney has been busy transforming the former Tower of Terror into a Guardians of the Galaxy-featured ride. Just this week, Marvel officially offered their first look at the fresh new ride: The Collector‘s Fortress.

Throughout the ride, visitors will be treated to various pieces of Taneleer Tivan’s collection, including the Guardians of the Galaxy.
The look of the ride features a very colorful and shiny exterior, much in line with how Marvel Studios is visually presenting their upcoming movies like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Thor: Ragnarok.
As the official listing for Marvel reads: “The fortress shimmers with colorful and sparkling details; pipes cross and climb the exterior, carrying the organic matter the Tivan Group has mined to power the massive generator that powers the entire building, keeping every cage locked and the valuable collection secure. Rising and falling gantry lifts peek out of doors exposed through the corroded, burnt metal, and it even looks as if the structure may have taken laser fire and blasts. Has someone tried to attack the facility?”
The Collector’s Fortress โ which is a part of the larger Guardians of the Galaxy โ Mission: BREAKOUT! Attraction โ is slated to open May 27 of this year at Disney California Adventure theme park. Prior to the opening of the new ride, make sure check out Star-Lord & Co. in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.
