Spider-Man: Homecoming is expected to earn upwards of $780 million or more at the worldwide box office following its release in China. Towards the end of August, the movie bypassed Marvel Studios’ first movie, Iron Man, at the domestic box office and already earned more than both The Amazing Spider-Man movies.

The webhead’s Chinese haul could bring in anywhere from $30 million to $100+ million, with the inclusion of Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) likely providing a box office boost, adding to the already popular Spider-Man brand. The last solo Iron Man feature, Iron Man 3, brought in $121 million in China, while Captain America: Civil War โ€” which featured both Spider-Man (Tom Holland) and the Iron Avenger โ€” earned $180 million in China. Spidey himself brought in $4.9 million in China in 2002, $6.1 million in 2004, $18.9 million in 2007, $48.8 million in 2012, and $94.4 million in 2014.

Spider-Man: Homecoming hits China September 8, but swings home to 4K UHD and Blu-ray on October 17. Holland’s Spider-Man will next be seen in Avengers: Infinity War, out May 2018, before his next solo feature due out July 5, 2019.

A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine โ€“ distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man โ€“ but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.

The cast includes Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, with Marisa Tomei, and Robert Downey Jr. It also includes Jon Favreau, Martin Starr, Kenneth Choi, Michael Mando, Selenis Leyva, Isabella Amara, Jorge Lendeborg, Jr., JJ Totah, and Hannibal Buress.
